Ok, just so no one feels left out, I'll make a general note about it.

I'd like to welcome my wife, Kitt, to the Paradox Palace. Without her, I don't know how I would stay so un-sane. And that's not a criticism, because anyone that lets themselves fall into stasis, will eventually be swallowed up by a little enthropic force I like to call the universe. So everyone, if you know what's good for you, never stop moving, thinking, and changing!

Also, we have added Kain as an author. Because, as he so eloquently put it, we wouldn't have done this without him. I truly doubt that statement though. But hey, I didn't register the domain as Aedus.com or some other ridiculously, ego-intensifying name. Anyway, Kain has been a good friend of ours for years, and his rambling can be found here with ours now.

I've added some new sidebar items. You can see some of our favorite links, via Brilliant Buttons (©2004-2005 Luca Zappa, www.lucazappa.com). I have a "Powered By" of course (who doesn't?), and I'd personally use Apache2 and PHP5, but hey, I got a good deal on the web hosting, and its still Apache and PHP... I listed favored web software (mostly), Kitt is pimping Neopets and Trilogy... I can just guess what Kain will want (sorry bud, no porn links).

Well, here we have it. The first addition to the ParadoxPalace.net domain.

I felt that since I find myself with opinions that go unexpressed, I might as well create a web site to keep them on. It should work out well, and I imagine with very little stress, since I don't expect any readers here anyway.

So, a little background:

As a hobby, I work on an internet game that has a somewhat small, but loyal fan base. The 4th Coming is a 2d game, played on a handful of commercially licensed servers. I happen to run one of them, with my wife Kitt, and another friend of ours. I take care of pretty much any technical necessity, like databases and web pages. I do a lot of PHP programing for it, and find myself creating bits of code just to learn more. I've been working with a group that purchased the source code rights to it, and we work as a group to improve the game and expand upon it. You can see a bit about it here. This is good for me, because it's been a while since I practiced my C++ skills. That, and I enjoy finding the best way to create new systems, or preventing exploits.

I still hang out in the Ultima Online emulator scene. I used to contribute to the LoneWolf project, but found very little time after getting out of the military. Now I hang around OrBSydia, even though I don't have much to contribute.

I spent 5 years in the Air Force. I got to learn how to be a computer communications system controller. Then I got the heck out of there and back into the real world. Unfortunately, I'm still far from home. Which is one reason I wanted to make a web site, so my wife and I had a common project. (I love you honey, even though you don't like weblogs)
